Sample pix of co-workers from the second day I owned the camera:

All three were taken in full auto mode, captured as both a jpg and a RAW file, with the RAW file adjusted in Adobe Camera Raw and saved to another jpg in Photoshop, set to quality = 11 (where max = 12)

Here are the full-size results of the ACR process:

Steve: auto mode, f5.6, 1/60, ISO400, 17-85mm lens @ 66 mm, pop-up flash,

Hostess: f/4, 1/60, ISO400, 17-65mm lens @ 17mm, Canon 480EX II flash

Van, f/5, 1/60, ISO400, 17-65mm lens @ 17mm, Canon 480EX II flash

Here are comparisons of the atuomatic jpg creation in the camera and what I chose in ACR.

NOTE: I'm posting these as illustrations of my first tries, not as a claim that my adjusted versions are better
